BRIGHTON’S BEST BOTTOMLESS BRUNCHES
How do you improve on the best meal of the week? With booze!
Every weekend morning since the dawn of time Brighton folk have blearily stumbled from their front doors on a quest for brunch and a squint at the papers. It’s what made this city great.
And while we at Wriggle are certainly partial to a wholesome mid-morning avocado on toast, a number of enterprising eateries are tempting us over to the dark side with naughty nosh and bottomless Bloody Marys.
So whether you’re kicking off an all-day bender or grasping around for that mythical hair of the dog, here’s our rundown of the best bottomless brunches in Brighton.
The Fountain Head
Drop by this darling little tavern for a generous Full English, Eggs Benedict or Eggs Florentine washed down with as many Mimosas or Bloody Marys as decency will allow.
102 North Rd, Brighton BN1 1YE
Saturday only. 11am-1pm. £15
North Laine Brewhouse
This leviathan of a boozer – with its own on-site brewery – serves up an bamboozling array of bacony bits and bobs on Saturday, with refillable Mimosas and Bloody Marys fiendishly laced with Brighton Hot Sauce (as if that’ll slow you down).
27 Gloucester Pl, Brighton BN1 4AA
Saturday only. 11am-3pm. £20.
Dog Haus @ Patterns
Sample the fanciest Hot Dogs known to science (‘Acid Haus’ is a particular Wriggle fave: a succulent dog garnished with pulled pork and fried smiley-faces) plus limitless refills of Prosecco and (natch) Bloody Mary at this seaside gem.
10 Marine Parade Brighton BN2 1TL
Sat-Sun. 11am-4pm. £15.
Start your weekend bright and early with perfect eggs on springy sourdough, plus as much hooch as you can sling down your gullet. Stick around, the bar staff are super friendly and quite often host live music later on in the day.
2-6 Elm Grove, Brighton BN2 3DD
Saturday only. 10am-1pm. £20.
