Nestled away inside Hoxton 7 at the heart of Shoreditch’s thriving indie scene, Cluk’s take on original recipe chicken and pizza done properly is pure poultry in motion. Nina – Cluk’s owner – is passionate about creating hand-crafted dishes: freshly prepared & succulent ingredients, a range of tasty marinades (think Jerk, BBQ, Garlic, Cheese, Atomic Habanero…), tonnes of toppings and irresistibly curated side selections are par for the course here. If you’re a fan of Caribbean + latino soul drenched in southern American flavour, you’d be Cluking crazy to miss a Wriggle here. Winner winner, chicken (and pizza) dinner.
How did Cluk come about?
‘Cluk.’ is what happens when two food enthusiasts stay up late discussing food, drink and the future. My husband and I have always loved good food, whilst we were at his brother’s wedding we went to a bar that had a wings deal and we started discussing how great it would be to have a chicken bar (similar to a nails or hair bar) and that evolved into Cluk.
What do you like most about your job?
I’m not tied down to a 9-5, I get to eat great food and meet good people.
What do you love most about Shoreditch?
I have worked in Shoreditch for around 5 years, I love all the creatives you get to meet and watching all the different characters walk down the streets- people watching, if you will. It’s a very vibrant place.
Do you have any independent favourites here in Shoreditch?
Dishoom , The fruit market on the weekend, and Rosa’s (Modern Thai cuisine served in a compact, light, contemporary wood and whitewashed interior.)

Any plans for the future?
