Wriggle’s Favourite Beers and Where to Find Them (part 1)

Every beer lover is spoilt for choice in Bristol. With its vast collection of quirky bars, offbeat pubs and Bristol restaurants that serve the finest ales, lagers, stouts and malts, you never have to worry about finding the right brew to satiate that particular thirst you get after a long day’s work.

We at Wriggle take our food and drink(ing) very seriously. So writing about the beers that we love and the places we drink them at was a bit of a no-brainer.

Before anyone calls me out for choosing this beer because it is Dutch, it’s not. It’s from Belgium. Not the same thing. They make better beer.

While I normally used to enjoy lighter beers (with the exception of Guinness, the nectar of the gods) I have recently started to get more into more bitter, darker ales with flavour you sometimes just don’t get from lighter ones.

This one has a full, strong taste without being too bitter and with a very fruity flavour to it. It went really well with the pizza I had while getting some sun out of Beer Emporium after that picture was taken. But then again, I’m no expert on beer pairings. I just love a good beer.
